Round One Offers
The listing of the Round One minimum points required for entry to ITB courses in September 2015, with the 2014 comparison, where applicable is attached here
Round 1 offers were issued on Monday 17th August and the acceptance deadline was Monday 24th August.
Your CAO offer notice constitutes "proof of offer" and should be used where requested by a third party.
ITB cannot issue letters in this regard.

Registration and Induction
If you have received an offer from ITB in Round 1 your registration letter will be posted out to you by 31st August. This registration letter will include the following important information
a. how to register online
b. how to pay your fees
c. student induction schedule

Student induction and registration will take place from Tuesday 8th September to Friday 11th September on campus. Attendance is compulsory.

Round 2 Offers
Round two offers were made by the CAO on Thursday 27th August and the acceptance deadline via CAO is 2nd Sept.
ITB made Round 2 offers on AQA Courses as below :
BN015 Engineering (Common 1st Year)
BN016 Business (Common 1st Year)
BN022 Horticulture

Registration information will be emailed and posted to you after Round 2 acceptance deadline of 2nd Sept.
Please follow all instructions on the CAO website and on the offer notice.
Your CAO offer notice constitutes "proof of offer" and should be used where requested by a third party.
ITB cannot issue letters in this regard.

Round Three offers
If you have not received an offer in Round 1 or 2 but do meet the minimum entry requirements

ITB has three Level 7 Courses listed below on the Available Places course list on the CAO :
BN015 Engineering (Common 1st Year)
BN016 Business (Common 1st Year)
BN022 Horticulture

New applicants can apply for entry to these available place courses via the CAO website.
You need to make your application before 11am on Monday 31st August in order to be considered for offers in Round Three.
Round Three offers will be made by the CAO on Friday 4th Sept and will only be made where places remain available after Round Two acceptances have been received.

 

 

Previously published points in an earlier round of offers should not be taken as an indication of the points required for entry to Available Places/Vacant Places.

For BN015 and BN016 the Institute will only accept applications from mature applicants (i.e. applicants who are over 23 on 01/01/2015) who meet the minimum entry requirements through a Leaving Certificate or FETAC award, copies of which must be sent to the CAO immediately. Applications from mature applicants to BN015 and BN016 who do not meet the minimum entry requirements through a Leaving Certificate or FETAC award cannot be accepted.

For BN022 Horticulture the Institute will accept applications from mature applicants (i.e. applicants who are over 23 on 01/01/2015) as well as from applicants who meet the minimum entry requirements through a Leaving Certificate or FETAC award. Mature applicants to BN022 Horticulture must provide a 250 word personal statement describing your interest in and preparation for this course to Noeleen.Johnson@itb.ie by 5pm on Monday 31st August.

Minimum Entry Requirements
If you have failed Mathematics or English you do not meet the minimum entry requirements. However a grade E in Leaving Certificate Mathematics at Higher Level counts as a subject towards the five passes for certain courses at ITB (please refer to the minimum entry requirements specific to each course you have applied). The Mathematics minimum entry requirement for Engineering and Computing courses is a Grade D3 (Ordinary Level).

If you have received notification that you will receive a Grant for the academic year 2015/2016 you are exempt from paying the Student Contribution fee of Euro 3,000.

If you are not eligible for a grant the Student Contribution fee maybe paid in two instalments (i.e. first instalment by date of registration in September 2015 and second instalment by 31st January 2016).
