2013 CAO Offer & Acceptance of Places

The listing of the Round One minimum points required for entry to ITB courses in September 2013, with the 2012 comparison, where applicable is attached here.

Offers Issued
Round 1 offers were issued from the CAO on Tuesday 20th August for acceptance via CAO until Monday 26th August.
Round 2 offers on Available Places/Vacant Places only (BN015 Engineering Common entry and BN016 Business Common entry) were issued from the CAO on Thursday 29th August for acceptance via CAO until Wednesday 4th September.
Round 3 offers on Available Places/Vacant Places only (on BN016 Business Common entry) issued from the CAO on Friday 6th September for acceptance via CAO until Wednesday 11th September.

Previously published points in an earlier round of offers should not be taken as an indication of the points required for entry to Available Places/Vacant Places.

Registration and Induction
If you have received an offer from ITB in Round 1or Round 2 registration packs will have been posted out to you. Your registration pack will include the following important information

  1. how to register online
  2. how to pay your fees
  3. student induction schedule

 

 

If you have received an offer from ITB in Round 3 you will be contacted by the Admissions Office by Monday 9th September.

Student induction and registration will take place from Wednesday 11th September to Friday 13h September on campus. Attendance is compulsory.

Your CAO offer notice constitutes “proof of offer” and should be used where requested by a third party. ITB cannot issue letters in this regard until you have registered online. If you have registered online and require a letter confirming your registration please contact the Student Information Desk (SID) on 01-8851592 or SID@itb.ie.

Fee payment option
Information on Fees and Grants is available on the Institute website or at www.studentfinance.ie or www.susi.ie.

If you have received notification that you will receive a Grant for the academic year 2013/2014 you are exempt from paying the Student Contribution fee of €2,500.
If you are not eligible for a grant the Student Contribution fee maybe paid in two instalments (i.e. first instalment by 11th September and second instalment by 31st January).

 

 

Available Places/Vacant Places
ITB no longer has any Available Places/Vacant Places.

Minimum entry requirements
If you have failed Mathematics or English you do not meet the minimum entry requirements. However a grade E in Leaving Certificate Mathematics at Higher Level counts as a passing subject for certain courses at ITB (please refer to the minimum entry requirements specific to each course you have applied). The Mathematics minimum entry requirement for Engineering and Computing courses is a Grade D3 (Ordinary Level)
