Cookbook

Dr. Matt Smith (Department of Informatics, ITB) has just published a new edition of his Unity 3D Game Development 'cookbook', the "Unity 2018 Cookbook". It's published by Packt Publishing (UK/India), and available from the Packt and Amazon websites.

Matt teaches game programming and software development and is exploring interactive 3D interfaces with his VR and AR research students in the LINC at the ITB campus.

The new edition adds hundreds of pages of new game development 'recipes', introducing both new 3D game development features (such as Virtual Reality, 360-videos, AI-driven navigation agents) and also introduces chapters on software engineering teaching practice, including test-driven development and software design patterns.

All the software from the book is available free to download here.

What our students say...

Monika Karaliunaite

"Basically the course covers everything to do with digital and online media. I had it as a hobby in sixth year but when I came here I learned so much more."
