Over the summer months, in partnership with VT Networks and RTE/2rn, ITB became a "SigFox Connected Campus".
SigFox is an "Internet of Things" communications network, and VT Networks are the licenced operator of SigFox in Ireland. SigFox equipment is now located in A Block (Room A09) with antenna located on top of the building.

VT Networks will be back on campus on Friday 20th of October at 10am in the LINC theatre to give a live demonstration of the SigFox infrastructure. Attendees will be shown how to get access to the SigFox infrastructure, connect devices and use the managed backend services to receive or re-route messages. VT Networks are providing free accounts for all ITB Staff and Students.
