On Tuesday 13th June, the Institute of Technology Blanchardtown (ITB) with the support of the Higher Education Authority (HEA) will host a Coding 4 Girls Camp.
This camp is open to second level female students. No previous coding experience is required, as it is a fully inclusive event. Tailored coaching, training and guidance ensures that each individual gets the most from the camp activities.

The camp itself takes place in computer labs on the ITB campus in Blanchardstown. ITB lecturers deliver the camp, which ensures that the students not only learn best methods but that the workshops are truly engaging.
Places in the camp are limited to 40 students. When students arrive to the camp, they will be formed into teams. These teams will then be taken to workstations in a computer lab where they will take part in coding activities, puzzles and challenges.

No laptops are necessary, as pre-configured computers will be available for all coding activities.

Students will all receive a goody bag upon arrival at the camp.

Lunch and snacks will be provided free of charge and will be available for all students at set times. These times will be communicated with the students on the day.

During the event, there will be spot prizes and prizes that recognize student ability, teamwork and performance.

Project Coordinators: Orla McMahon, Michelle Looby & Adrienne Harding.

This is a free event but as places are limited, interested parties should register on Eventbrite early to avoid disappointment.

What our students say...

Monika Karaliunaite

"Basically the course covers everything to do with digital and online media. I had it as a hobby in sixth year but when I came here I learned so much more."
