Bumbleance Presentation

The ITB Sports Management and Coaching fourth year students have been very busy during the month of April raising funds for Bumbleance (www.bumbleance.com), the world's first children's interactive ambulance service.

As part of their course module 'Practicum in Sports and Leisure Event Management' 19 students organised a series of sports-related events including Dublin's Fittest Primary School, a GAA School of Excellence for primary school pupils at the Meath GAA Games Development Centre in Dungany, a FIFA 2017 Intervarsities competition, a five-a-side soccer blitz at Portmarnock Sports and Leisure Centre, a fitness vloggers conference and a variety of tests of sporting prowess. Almost 800 children and adults from the local community and primary schools from Dublin, Kildare, Meath, Louth and Wicklow took part in the events that ran throughout April.

The students were delighted to welcome Nicola O'Sullivan and John McGuiness from Bumbleance to the ITB campus on Friday 28th April to hand over a cheque for 7,500 euro.

In planning and running their respective events the Sports Management and Coaching students displayed great initiative, enthusiasm and professionalism and were very proud to hand over such a significant amount to a very worthy charity.

What our students say...

Monika Karaliunaite

"Basically the course covers everything to do with digital and online media. I had it as a hobby in sixth year but when I came here I learned so much more."
