On Thursday 23rd April, three ITB international students attended the Education in Ireland International Student Ambassador Awards Ceremony at Farmleigh. It was a gorgeous sunny day out for our two student ambassadors, Dhvanik Miglani from India and Ningjie Shuai from China and for our Government of Ireland Scholar, Xiaojing Xie from China.

They joined 50 international student ambassadors from across the globe to receive their prestigious award for representing their Higher Education Institution in Ireland. Throughout the academic year our student ambassadors wrote blogs through social media to share their experiences and challenges of studying abroad and took stunning photos of their travels. They told stories of the weird and wonderful and the stark contrast between their local culture when compared with Irish values and lifestyle.

The ceremony at Farmleigh celebrates the cultural diversity of international students in Ireland whilst also promoting the country as one of the top destinations in the world for pursing further education and ultimately develop their career opportunities. Our ITB ambassadors Dhvanik, Ningjie and Xiaojing showed how far they have come from the first day of induction to becoming internationally and open-minded students.

What our students say...

Monika Karaliunaite

"Basically the course covers everything to do with digital and online media. I had it as a hobby in sixth year but when I came here I learned so much more."
