Congratulations to Ms.Pamela Kelly (Department of Humanities) and Ms.Marie Brennan (Department of Informatics) who have been recognised for their excellence in teaching through the receipt of the 'Teaching Heroes' award by the National Forum for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.

The National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education has been established by the Minister for Education and Skills in order to enhance the quality of the learning experience for all students at third level, be they full-time, part-time or flexible learners.
The teaching hero award is the first of its kind in higher education in Ireland as it's based on student nominations.

The student body of many higher education institutions worked with the National Forum to identify teachers across the sector who have had a positive and lasting impact on students' learning experiences.
These awards are a new way of ensuring that students have the opportunity to have their voices heard by identifying their teaching heroes, and to thank and recognise those excellent teachers at a national level.

The Teaching Heroes will be recognised and celebrated at a very special event on Sept 30th at the Dublin Castle.

What our students say...

"Basically the course covers everything to do with digital and online media. I had it as a hobby in sixth year but when I came here I learned so much more."
