Business courses

Administrative and management staff play an important role in enterprise. Graduates of business studies courses are responsible for managing the many services that allow organisations to operate efficiently. Specific duties for business administrators and managers vary according to degree of responsibility and authority. These may include managing people, finance, marketing or clerical work.

Administration and management staff should have good communication skills and be able to establish effective working relationships with people through out the organisation, from senior management to clerical staff. They should be analytical, pay attention to details, be flexible and decisive. The ability to co-ordinate several activities at once, quickly analyse and resolve specific problems and cope with deadlines are necessary skills. Many of the business-based courses at ITB have a strong component of language learning associated with them. Languages that can be studied include French, German or Spanish.

What our students say...

Justine

"My guidance counsellor suggested the Business & IT course in ITB. I was impressed with how well equipped the computer labs were and the attention each student got from lecturers. I would recommend this course particularly because of the emphasis on project work, building student confidence and developing presentation skills. "
