Minimum Entry Requirements
The minimum entry requirements for standard entrants are a pass in six subjects (ordinary level) in the Leaving Certificate, to include Mathematics and English or Irish. Mature students may be admitted without meeting these formal minimum requirements.
The minimum entry requirements for graduates of FETAC is any full Level 5 or 6 award in a course in a cognate area and including a distinction grade in at least 3 modules.
This award must include Mathematics (C20139) or Mathematics (5N1833) or Mathematics for Computing (C20175) or Mathematics for Engineering (C20174).
The courses considered as cognate areas for progression to this course include :
CCTXX, CELTX, CITXX, CENGT, 5M2061, CMTXX, 5M2145, CETXX, CCNMX.
Energy Systems and Industrial Automation Overview
Energy Systems is the design, installation, operation and monitoring of the electrical and mechanical systems required for the safe, comfortable and energy efficient operation of modern buildings (industrial and commercial buildings).
