Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, guest of honour at ITB

On 15th February 2018, we were delighted to welcome An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, as guest of honour to ITB. The event highlighted the significant achievements and developments on this campus as we transform into a Technological University for Dublin and celebrated our relationship with our partners in Canada.

Launched at the event was the Centre for Higher Education Research, Policy and Practice (CHERPP). The centre was established as the result of an international partnership between the TU4D partners and our Canadian partners the University of Ontario (UOIT) and Durham College. Located on the ITB campus grounds, the centre will promote international and cross-cultural research on Higher Education by enabling academic staff from both countries to work on joint projects.




Simultaneously, the TU4D partners also announced that a partnership with the Centre for Universal Design at the National Disability Authority, the UOIT and Durham College, who will host the Universal Design and Higher Education in Transformation Congress (UDHEIT2018), at Dublin Castle from 30th October to 2nd November 2018. The four day event will bring key experts together from industry, education, government and non-government organisation sectors to share experiences and knowledge in design, diversity and education. The underpinning theme for the event is to transform our world through diversity, design and education.

A key part of the event included an exhibition of student work which was a fantastic showcase of the spectrum and diversity of each of our academic departments.
