ITB Social Care Students bag third prize at National Social Enterprise Awards.

Congratulations to ITB Social Care students Kellie Cunniffe and Joy Holmes on a respectable third in the national finals of the 2016 SPARK Social Entrepreneur Competition.
The finals were held on Friday 23rd September in CPA Ireland, Harcourt Street and included 6 finalists in total from various Institutes of Technology including Dublin, Sligo, Limerick, Tallaght, Cork and Blanchardstown.



While on work placement they came up with the idea of creating a reminiscence pack for the service users that they were working with as the service users all had early on set dementia.
Spark Awards,open to social care students recognizes and rewards their creative and innovative solutions to a diverse range of social issues.



Well done to Kellie and Joy and special thanks to our Placement Supervisors from 2015/16, Denise Lyons and Fergus Comerford.
