ITB awards 2013/2014 Sports Scholarships

ITB offers Sports Scholarships to full-time students to assist them in reaching their potential, both academically and in their chosen sport.
Applications are sought on an annual basis. This year saw 41 applications in total out of which 24 applicants were deemed worthy.



Students applying for our scholarship must be registered as a full time student at ITB and must have displayed outstanding sporting ability.



In addition to an excellent financial package winners are assigned an academic mentor if they wish & two workshops held during the year to assist them to reach their full sporting potential. Students also receive custom made ITB Sports gear.

Applicants should have:
excellent potential
outstanding ability in their particular sport
be performing at a high level in their chosen sport
have a desire to represent the Institute at their sport
have a strong desire to pursue an academic course at ITB

2. Wendy O Neill - Swimming-Represented Ireland in Celtic Nations
3. Cliodhna Mac Namara - GAA- Kildare at all levels up to Senior
4. Daniel Mc Evoy - Basketball-Killester Super league player
5. Paul Dowling - Basketball-National League with Swords Thunder
6. David Heffernan - Kick Boxing - 3 times World Champion
7. Conor Mc Gill - GAA- Meath U21 Player
8. Ryan Woolley - Tae Kwondo -Silver medal at World U21 games
9. Fausta Jankauskaite - Basketball- Dublin Representative team
10. Isaac Westbrooks - Basketball - Irish international from u14- Senior level
11. Mark Kavanagh - Hurling- Dublin minor player this year
12. Sean Ingle - Basketball-Represented Ireland up to u18 level
13. Heather Meagher - Basketball-National league with Oblate Dynamos
14. Emma Mc Gill - GAA-Minor and Junior player for Meath
15. Conor Little - Soccer- Bohemians FC. senior squad member
16. Aoife O Brien - GAA- All Ireland Finalist with Dublin Minors
17. Jamie Mc Glynn - Soccer-Ireland Youth International up to U19
18. Danielle Pugh - GAA- All Ireland Finalist with Dublin Minors
19. Richard Hedderman - Boxing - Silver in European Championships
20. Sarah O Donoghue - Soccer-Represented Dublin and Leinster
21. Chloe Farrell - Tae Kwondo-National and European Champion
22. Caoimhe Morris - Athletics - Silver medal at University Championships
23. Graham Gerathy - GAA/Coaching-2 All-Irelands/All stars
24. Glen Daly - Soccer - Malahide United first team player
