Our Men's Senior GAA team added more silverware to the Institute’s display cabinet when they convincingly beat Mater Dei in the Cormac Mc Annallen Cup Finals held on 5th March in UCD. The occasion couldn’t have been more historic as the finals were held as part of the celebrations marking the Centenary Year of the Sigerson Cup and the host team UCD provided an ideal venue for the GAA Higher Education championship finals.
ITB secured their place in the finals by beating Froebel College of Education whilst Mater Dei college overcame the challenge of the Royal College of Surgeons.

ITB secured this historic win on a final score line of ITB 1 - 17 Mater Dei 0 - 2. This was ITB's third appearance in the final - having suffered defeats previously. The GAA president Christy Cooney presented the trophy to ITB's captain Fearghal Delaney. ITB team is being managed by former Meath great Graham Geraghty.
