The role of ITB Sport is to facilitate any student who wishes to partake in physical activity while they complete their studies in ITB.
Our Sports Development Officer, Ronan Keaskin, along with our two sports interns Cormac Moussally and Andre Berg work with ITB students to provide an excellent sporting environment.
Along with providing excellent sporting facilities, there are also active club programmes catered to suit student needs.

- Certified FIFA 1 Star All-Weather Soccer Pitch
This pitch was opened in June 2012 and is fully certified by FIFA to play full matches on. The dimensions are 100m * 64m with full soccer pitch markings only. The pitch is available for all ITB students during the hours of 10am-6pm and is hired out to outside groups from 6:30-9:30pm Monday to Friday and from 10am-4pm on weekends.
- Half pitch hire per hour (training) - €60
- Full pitch hire per hour (training) - €110
- Full pitch hire for matches(without lights)
- Full pitch hire for matches(with lights) -€150

Cancellation Policy :
A cancellation fee of €100 will be applied to cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to hire. Sunday booking payment to be made atleast 48 hours in advance.
- Grass Sand-based GAA/Soccer Pitch
This pitch was opened in October 2013 and has inter-county standard 13m goalposts. The total playing area is 140m * 110m and can be lined to suit the sport. This pitch is available for rent at certain times of the year weather permitting.

- ITB Sports Hall
The ITB sports hall can be booked by students or staff between 8am and 6pm each day. The Sports hall is 32m *22m and is lined for Futsal, Basketball, Badminton, Olympic handball and Volleyball.
There is no charge for students to book the sports hall during the above hours.
Bookings by external groups from 6pm-10pm Monday – Friday and Saturday from 10am-4pm are €45 per hour.

- New ITB Sports Pavilion
Our new state of the art pavilion building is located adjacent to the Sports Pitches and comprises a fully equipped Fitness Suite (185m²), changing facilities, an athletic therapy room, a sports science lab and a number of lecture theatres.

Fitness and personal training programmes are available on request.
As part of the overall ITB Sports Service we provide a number of free and subsidised fitness classes. These change on a semester basis so keep an eye on your email and the notice boards.
ITB Sports Scholarships
ITB rewards students who have outstanding sporting ability.
ITB offers Sports Scholarships to all full-time students to assist them in reaching their full potential, both academically and in their chosen sport. Students, selected for the scholarships can benefit from an excellent financial package as well as the excellent support services.
Applicants should have:
- Excellent potential
- Outstanding ability in their particular sport
- Be performing at a high level in their chosen sport
- Have a desire to represent the Institute at their sport
- Have a strong desire to pursue their academic course at ITB
Before you can apply for a Sports Scholarship you must meet the academic criteria for entry to ITB and be registered as a full time student at ITB.
Scholarships may be awarded in a wide range of sports. Applicants will be short-listed and may be interviewed as part of the selection process.
Scholarships are for a period of one academic year only. Applications will be sought on an annual basis.

Leinster Bursaries
In association with the Leinster GAA Council there are a limited number of bursaries awarded to outstanding GAA players from Leinster who are registered students of ITB. This Bursary is offered to ITB students in November of each academic year and bursary forms are available from the Leinster GAA website.
